The 6th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing
(EU-Japan JSPP)
with special emphasis on " Atomic and Molecular Processes in Atmospheric Pressure Plasmas"

Okinawa Convention Center, Okinawa, Japan
21-23, April, 2008

Organized by
Global COE Program, Keio University
Center for Atomic and Molecular Technologies, Osaka University

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to participate in The 6th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing (JSPP2008), which will be held at the Okinawa Convention Center, Okinawa, Japan, from the 21st to 23rd of April, 2008. The Symposium covers a broad range of science and technologies related to plasmas processing. This time we have selected "Atomic and Molecular Processes in Atmospheric Pressure Plasmas" as the special topic of the Symposium and plan to dedicate some sessions to this theme, which has gained special interest of the community in recent years due to its importance for a wide range of material processing by plasmas in atmospheric-pressure environments. Of course, other traditional topics in plasma science and technologies, including those of plasmas at low pressures, continue to be important subjects discussed in depth during the Symposium.

The JSPP2008 is organized by the Global COE Program "High-Level Global Cooperation for Leading-Edge Platform on Access Spaces" of Keio University, and the "Atomic Technology Project" of Center for Atomic and Molecular Technologies, Osaka University.

I would like to thank you for your interest in this Symposium and look forward to seeing you during the Symposium.
Satoshi Hamaguchi
