We went to Wakayama Shrine (若山神社), Yanagitani Kannon (柳谷観音), and Mt. Tennozan (天王山).

All member of laboratory met in JR Shimamoto station and we started for hiking.

Our first journey was Wakayama Shrine. We must climb some steps and enter the main gate to the Shrine.

Wakayama Shrine in Autumn

The leaves were changing the colour. We saw a beautiful view from Wakayama Shrine.

The way to the next place takes us through bamboo forest.

After passing through the bamboo forest, we cross the bridge (ながどりおおはし) together. There was a river under that bridge, many people were fishing and enjoy the time with their family in that place.

Suddenly, the rain came down, but we still continued our journey. Keep fighting mina-san.

Professor leads us to pass this obstacle on the way.

We are grateful exist between a beautiful and colourful leaves. Red, yellow, green and combine with the other colour, it made us relax with that situation. Yannagitani Kannon

We were in the top of Mt. Tennozan in Kyoto Prefecture, our last destination of this hiking. In Japanese history, this place was popular most notably the Battle of Yamazaki in 1582 and many grave of samurai in this area. Actually, many beautiful spot in this area, but the day became dark, so we can’t see clearly.

After hiking with the route Wakayama Shrine → Shakuyshiro → Yanagitani Kannon → Tennozan around seven hours, finally we arrived in the dinner restaurant and enjoy our dinner with big smile. We felt very happy for hiking because of togetherness.
