About the Workshop:

In the last few decades, plasma and laser technologies have made remarkable progress in various applications such as material analyses, thin film formation, and nano-scale processing. Recently it has been recognized that these technologies could have also significant impact on biological and medical sciences and technologies. The current level of interaction among plasma/laser scientists and biological/medical scientists, however, may still be insufficient and more close interaction among experts in these fields could open up new opportunities of applications of plasma/laser technologies in biology and medicine. In view of this, we have organized this Workshop to promote open discussion among scientists interested in these fields. In the 6th Workshop on Biological Applications of Plasma/Photon Processing (BAPP-6), we have planned a variety of invited presentations regarding biological/medical issues on which plasma technologies may possibly have significant impact, as well as other presentations with broader perspectives.
